"Children are our most valuable natural resource"

Herbert Hoover, 31st U.S. President
Children are the future of any nation and should be seen as valuable assets. We need to invest in our children making sure they have access to education, health and other basic rights.  We need to advocate for them in support of UNICEF’s mission, “To advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs, and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.”

  1. I fully endorse your statement that children are our most valuable natural resource. We need to plan for their development. It cannot be done haphazardly. Our developmental theorists such as Jean Piaget have given us certain stages that development follows. However, an eclectic approach should be utilized since it incorporates the best of all approaches.

Being a reflective practitioner goes a long way to enhance the quality of Early Childhood Education. It will reveal areas of strengths as well as weaknesses so we can make adjustment to foster our children’s development.
